Laura Taylor, BS, MRC, CRC, CCM
  Medical/Vocational Case Manager

     Laura has thirteen years experience as a Vocational Specialist and Rehabilitation Case Manager that includes eight years working in a sub-acute rehabilitation hospital and industrial rehabilitation setting for a large Automotive Assembly Plant in Central Kentucky. She also has nearly five years of experience in Managed Care, and two years in direct claims management for a large third party administrator.

     Laura has been serving as a Case Manager for the duration of her career since completing her Masters Degree in 1994. She is experienced in serving a diverse clientele including service coordination for occupational medicine, orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation clients. She has also a strong knowledge of occupational rehabilitation consisting of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses, Work Conditioning/Work Hardening, Chronic Pain Syndrome, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Ergonomic Evaluations, Prevention Education Programs, Short and Long Term Disability Case Management, Vocational Assessments, Vocational Placement and Counseling.

     Laura received her Bachelors Degree in Policy Analysis/Sociology with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Louisville in 1991. She went on to take post-graduate work in Allied Health and Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in 1991-1992 and then obtained her Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in December 1994 from the University of Kentucky. She earned her National Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling (CRC) the same year and earned her National Certification in Case Management (CCM) in 2002. She also holds a State of Kentucky professional vocational evaluator certification for several aptitude and achievement tests including the GATB, TABE, WRAT and USES.

     Laura has presented at several Interdisciplinary Health and Social Work Conferences nationally, and has served as the Supervising Case Manager for two National Managed Care Companies until she recently joined Preferred Case Management in September 2007.

     Laura's territory includes the Louisville, Southern Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Western Kentucky client base.
